‘TACHE CARDS

How great are these! And my favourite: Doo Daa Studios are based in Brooklyn, NY and I think their Moustache cards are prettttty fun! They’re a tad pricey at $5.50 each, but they do do a set of 8 for $27.50 (about £17).

SMUG visit

I visited SMUG  a few weeks ago to do a Lino printing workshop and slightly fell in love with it, so thought I’d go back for a proper visit last weekend. It’s in the lovely Camden Passage in Islington, and here is what it looks like: It’s run by Lizzie Evans (you can read all… Read more »

Masking (a window with) tape

I walked past this window in Islington the other was and was impressed by this novel way of using stationery! This person has created a cool (and cheap!) pattern using masking tape to act as a sort of window shutter to stop people on the street staring in! They probably didn’t appreciate me taking a… Read more »

Rain, rain go away…

All this horrible weather (for those of you reading elsewhere, the UK has been even rainier than usual of late) has got me thinking about notebooks that can handle the wet weather. So after a bit of research, here’s my picks: And I’ve written about this one before: They’ve also recently made a series of… Read more »

Write on! Fun pencils

The Valentine’s Edition

The time is approaching, so here are my picks of the best Valentine’s card (mainly from Etsy): Starting things off with Rifle Paper Co. (stocked in Paperchase and lots of other UK stores, check their stockists page). Next up, SnoogsAndWilde on Etsy. Made in Connecticut, they have lots of lovely watercolour cards and prints (I particularly like this feather print)…. Read more »

Field Notes: From Seeds

This is a great video from Field Notes, explaining where their product has come from. Field Notes co-founder Aaron Draplin shows his vast collection of the agricultural memo books that inspired their range of note books. His passion is infectious, as you’ll see, he’s so watchable! Here are the ones I have: The manila ones are… Read more »

Lino Printing Workshop

On Sunday, as per my post here, I went to a Lino Printing workshop by Nancy Straughan at the lovely shop Smug. This is a picture of me  (mid, centre) and the rest of the class with our prints. It was a real mix of people/abilities, from novices like me, to graphic designers and people… Read more »

New Brand Find: OCTAEVO

How cool is this bookmark! I love it. I recently discovered OCTAEVO, a stationery company based in Barcelona. Their products looks lovely, and I think this one is especially fun. They don’t have much yet, as I think they are quite a new company, so hopefully their product range will grow. Check out the site… Read more »
