The School of Life: Mood Notebooks

A friend was showing me the sights in Stoke Newington a couple of weeks ago and we wandered into a really sweet shop called Search & Rescue. It has loads of great stuff, but of course I was drawn straight to the stationery section. I was looking for a present for my soon-to-be-qualified-as-a-teacher best friend,… Read more »

National Theatre Bookshop Haul

What’s in this crumbled bag, I hear you ask… Well, the other day I was wasting time on the Southbank before meeting some friends and I thought I’d pop into the new National Theatre Bookshop. What I didn’t know however is that they have some AMAZING stationery! So of course I couldn’t help myself and… Read more »

Knitter’s Notebook

This little beauty arrived yesterday! It’s a knitter’s notebook, £10 by True Brit Knits. I saw it the other day on The Well Appointed Desk (thanks!) and had to order one. I really like the simplicity of the foil on the front and here’s what’s on the inside: The inside cover has a knitting glossary, and… Read more »

Kitty Clips

A quick one today – an H&M (of all places!) find: I’m not 100% sure what I’ll use them for – I guess they’re just glorified paperclips really. I could make some mini clipboard postcard frames maybe… Anyway, they’re only £1.99 for 6, which I think it pretty good. I got them in the Covent… Read more »

A Girl Named Elastika

A GIRL NAMED ELASTIKA from Guillaume Blanchet I Filmmaker on Vimeo. Yay! A stationery film! You may well have seen this already but I thought I’d share it anyway. It’s a stop-motion animation by film-maker Guillaume Blanchet made entirely from push pins and elastic bands (actually I also spotted a few paper clips – no… Read more »

FUNFAX!!!

Oh my GOD, did anyone else have a Funfax when they were a kid?! I just thought of them out of nowhere and a quick google has reminded me how BRILLIANT they were! For anyone that wasn’t lucky enough to have a Funfax, they were the kid’s version of a Filofax, they were around in the… Read more »

Food Glorious Food (cards)

As I sit down to write this it’s approaching lunchtime, so there’s only one direction I can go. Food. Cards with food on them anyway: This is very silly but I like it a lot! Especially as someone who eats far too many carbs… There’s more to this next one than meets the eye, as… Read more »

London Stationery Show 2014

On Tuesday afternoon I went to visit the London Stationery Show at the Business Design Centre: It was really an event for buyers, rather than little ol’ bloggers like me so it was mainly sales talk and people with suits on. But I just had a bit of wander round looking at the various stands…. Read more »

Great ideas #1: Highlighter with a see through tip

So obvious, but such a great idea! For times when you need to do some very precise highlighting, Mitsubishi Pencil Co’s Uni Promark Highlighter is just the thing: I don’t think it requires much explanation, I think this does it pretty well:
