How do you use your notebooks?

Until a few days ago, I’d never really thought about this before, but I noticed I have a very definite way in which I use notebooks. I’m going to name it the Mullet technique, i.e. business in the front, party in the back. When I say party though, I kind of just mean messy… I… Read more »

WANT LIST: Tanner Goods Pencils

So, I know I probably seem a bit pencil obsessed at the moment, but I saw these yesterday and couldn’t help but add them to the want list. I really like Tanner Goods as a brand. My boyfriend discovered them a year or two ago (starting a small obsession with anything made in Portland, Oregon),… Read more »

What’s the best everyday pencil?

This was one of the first posts I wanted to write when I started this blog, and 7 months later – here I am! It took a bit of time to get a collection together in order to hopefully answer this question. I will be looking at 9 pencils, all HB (where possible), to try… Read more »

David Meowie and other cat puns…

I finally got round to going to Lady Dinah’s Cat Emporium a couple of weeks ago, and when I was there I picked up this BRILLIANT card: It’s by Mister Peebles, and is £3. The owner of Lady Dinah’s mentioned that they had spoken to the company about doing a whole series of cat related… Read more »

Back to the 90s with a Tele-index and a rad pencil case

Sorry I was a little quiet last week, I’ve just got back from my best friend’s hen do (I think that’s a bachelorette party for those of you in the US/canada) in Marrakech. It was AMAZING, but the planning for that got in the way of blogging towards the end of last week. Anyway, I’m back… Read more »

Parcel labels, and lots of them

As I mentioned in my last post, I found a great independent stationers (which I can’t remember the name of and isn’t google-able). As well as cards, I’ll also grabbed a couple of bundles of parcel tags, which were a total bargain! The manilla bundle (of about 50) was £3.25 and the Turquoise bundle (also… Read more »

Oh, I do like to be beside the seaside…

The week before last, my boyfriend and I  drove down for a few days in Cornwall, where we stayed in a Yurt. The weather was amazing, and it was pretty much the perfect holiday, full of seriously idyllic things like making dough and cooking pizza in the wood fired oven on the camp site, whilst… Read more »

Review: Le Pen by Marvy Uchida

As mentioned in this post (it didn’t stay a wanted item for very long), I came across Le Pen in the US and managed to order some from eBay. They actually arrived really quickly. I got two, four packs; one was the “primary” set – 2 black, 1 blue, 1 red, and the other was… Read more »

1940s Parsons Desk Calendar

It was my birthday on Friday, and a few of my lovely friends went down the same route with presents and I ended up with several amazing vintage stationery pieces. I wanted to share these items with you, and I’m starting with this Parsons Desk Calendar which Ashley bought me. Here it is in all… Read more »

Amalgamated by Tuomas Markunpoika

I saw this on dezeen the other day and I just had to share it. Tuomas Markunpoika has made vases by gluing pencils together into blocks and then turning the blocks on a lathe to create the vase shape. This video explains it slightly better than I do though: [vimeo http://vimeo.com/97725899] Pretty amazing eh? I… Read more »
